UNITED STATES.- Last Friday, May 14, 2021, the Chinese space probe “Tianwen-1” landed on Mars. In this way, the complex mission is an incredible achievement for the Asian country due to its complexity. It was in July 2020 that Beijing launched this spacecraft from Earth and it managed to capture the eyes of all astronomy enthusiasts. In this sense, “Tianwen-1” consists of an orbital probe that revolves around the red planet. It also has a lander that has previously landed on Mars and an unmanned robot called “Zhurong” on board. “The Tianwen-1 lander successfully landed in the predefined area” on Mars with the robot “Zhurong” on board, “CCTV revealed. Likewise, a special was broadcast in which it was reported that a signal had been received. During this time, the descent was made in “Utopia Planitia” which is located in the northern hemisphere of Mars. On the other hand, it should be noted that Chin had already attempted to send a probe to this star in 2011 in collaboration with Russia, but it did not come to fruition. China’s first interplanetary expedition # Tianwen1 Put #Mars Huoxing ?? (planet of fire) to Rover #Zhurong ?? (God of fire). China becomes the third country to land a successful landing, previously carried out by the United States and Russia -? (@ChinaEspacial) May 15, 2021 “Tianwen-1” had already been located in orbit of the planet and took some pictures, but the arrival of “Zhurong” will allow us to analyze in depth the properties of Mars. Despite this, the tense moments were formidable after the space probe deployed its parachute to make a dangerous descent of a few minutes that generated a lot of uncertainty. The arrival of this Chinese probe on the Red Planet comes just a few months after the arrival of NASA’s Perseverance rover, which landed on Mars on February 18, 2021 and continues to collect data from the Martian surface. The name “Zhurong” is due to the reference to the god of fire in Asian mythology to appeal to this mission and what it means: “huoxing”, which would be “the planet of fire”.
