Contraband is a new co-op proposition on Xbox The latest Microsoft + Bethesda E3 event left us with a lot of new and old knowledge. Titles of the caliber of Stafield, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite have been dropped with a release date of at least a year. But what concerns us in this text is the new IP that Xbox Game Studios presented in collaboration with Avalanche Studios: Contraband. This new title will offer us an open world and a cooperative game set in the 70s, in a fictional place in Bayan. During our streaming, we dared to joke about the proposal, because we don’t know much yet. But fun surely comes in abundance in this kind of smuggling simulator with friends. Like I said, Contraband doesn’t appear to be an upcoming release, it doesn’t even have an approximate arrival year. In practice, we only saw a cinematic trailer that gave us a taste of the artistic part of the game. However, the start of a new IP is confirmed, something that is still appreciated, and that we will premiere on Xbox Game Pass, like any title produced by Microsoft. We hope to learn more about this game soon. In the meantime, let’s make sure it won’t be far off, as Microsoft plans to release at least one Xbox Game Studios game each quarter. Viable task given that they have 23 internal studios, as well as possible collaborations, like this one with Avalanche Studios.
