The wildly popular Fania 97 Sound in Puebla, Mexico is said to have boasted of working with equipment that was stolen from rock band Café Tacvba two years ago. As reported by the Página Negra website, which is based in Puebla, reported that this “sonidero” would use this equipment and show it to his friends. The material to which they refer is that which was stolen from the Mexican group when the truck transporting them would go to Quintana Roo on May 2, 2019. The transport was stopped and assaulted by armed subjects. Although they asked the authorities for help, they could not find those responsible. According to Puebla media, Sonido Fania 97 suddenly appeared with high-tech equipment and Omar Rojas (owner of the “sonidero”) shared with his closest entourage that it was Café Tacvba. The way he would have obtained this team, would have been thanks to Arturo Romero Aparicio, “El Cachibombo”, who according to the media, is “who controlled the prison of San Miguel, La Cuchilla and Mercado Unión until he was transferred to a federal prison in Chiapas on March 23, 2020 by the government of Miguel Barbosa Huerta. ”For the moment, there have been no statements or“ sonidero ”from the rock group, although the authorities assure that they investigated Sonido Fania 97’s links with organized crime.
