Israeli Ambassador Yoed Mogen said during the meeting with President Mario Abdo Benítez they discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fight against Covid-19. He noted that the national government had ratified its commitment to set up a trade office in Jerusalem. He added that Israel had donated four new ventilators made in that country, which are already working in hospitals. The diplomat explained that a decree in force in Israel does not allow the export of drugs or equipment for the treatment of patients with Covid-19. However, the situation may change with the advancement of standardization in your country. “I am convinced that later we can collaborate with friendly countries like Paraguay, and it is a good idea to share our experiences with Paraguayan doctors and specialists,” he said. As for diplomatic agencies, he said the president had ratified his pledge to set up a business office in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. “This is a commitment that the president made in 2019, it could not be implemented due to the situation and he reiterated it to me and I am confident in the future, which I hope that it will be soon, Paraguay will be able to open a commercial office in Jerusalem, which for us at the heart of the Jewish people ”, he underlined.
